Kenza - Customer Service Apprentice

Former beautician and single mum Keneza joined as a Customer Services Apprenticeship. Keneza has always lived in Brent where she is raising her daughter. She applied for the apprenticeship through Brent Works and following a successful interview and started working on site at our Stonebridge developments in December 2020 as well as enrolling at college.

Keneza studied Business Admin and Retail Level 1 at Harrow College and then progressed onto the Level 2 with a beauty company but was eager for a change in career and do something that would challenge her.

Keneza said, “During lockdown I learnt to be more patient and to juggle motherhood, both teaching my daughter by doing different activities together and managing work.

“Initially I was a bit worried and nervous about the role and being a woman in construction, but everyone has been extremely friendly and supportive. The skills I have gained during my time here has been multitasking, communication skills, time management, and organisational skills to manage my apprenticeship and workload. The team are very helpful and 100% supportive in my development.

"I like the direction my career is going in and really enjoy getting up every day to come to work, so I definitely would like a career in the construction industry and I’m excited to learn more."
